What is nutritional therapy, and what does it mean that I’m a nutritional therapy practitioner?

Throughout my whole life, I’ve always been drawn to finding natural ways to make my body feel good. In our modern society, we get so caught up in trying to solve problems overnight. We’re always searching for a quick fix, even if it’s not the best option for our bodies or minds. I can not stress enough the importance of being able to recognize that what you put into your body directly affects how you feel! Nutritional therapy is something that I live by and I absolutely want to share with you the benefits of learning more about your food intake.

What Is Nutritional Therapy?

Nutritional therapy is, simply put, using food as medicine. I strongly believe that real, whole foods can serve as the basis of a healthy lifestyle. Nutritional therapy is a way to evaluate your physical ailments and treat them without using medications. Most of the everyday health issues we encounter are largely caused by insufficient nutrient intake due to unbalanced diets. All of our misconceptions regarding modern diet culture can be easily fixed by learning the basics about how food can help you feel good every day.

Our diets largely consist of processed foods and prepackaged items filled with preservatives and a long list of ingredients. While it’s totally fine to indulge in some of your favorite snacks once in a while, you shouldn’t be eating these products every day. Michael Pollan was quoted as saying “Don’t eat anything incapable of rotting”, and I strongly agree! Your body deserves to be nourished with natural foods that will provide you with energy, nutrients, and feeling full. From chronic pain to IBS and anything in between, your body can be healed using Nutritional Therapy!

What Does It Mean That I’m A Nutritional Therapy Practitioner?

As a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, I am certified to help you find the right foods to target your body’s needs. My main goal is to provide you with the necessary tools and information to create a lifestyle focused around a clean diet. You don’t have to think about giving up your favorite foods, you just need to consider preparing them in a way that suits both your body’s wants and needs. I can work with you to evaluate your current nutrition and health status when it comes to digestion, blood sugar levels, metabolism, and more. Paying attention to these issues and linking your diet to your reactions is key in finding out how we can establish a plan that makes you both happy and healthy.

I am NOT a nutritionist or a doctor, so I can’t treat you for any specific medical conditions. I do, however, have a certification from the Nutritional Therapy Association, which gives me the ability to suggest diet and exercise regimens to bring your lifestyle back to a healthy balance. My main motive in life is to show people that food has such an impact on our daily lives. Once you start to recognize how your body feels when you take in different foods, you can really start to target both the good and the bad feelings in your body. Doing this is the first step to establishing a healthy diet for you. As a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, I want to help you get your body back to its foundation of health. Your quality of life is the most important thing and if food can raise that through the roof, why wouldn’t you want to take advantage of that?

Eating every day is a given, so why not make sure that the food you’re eating is doing something good for you? I’ll help you focus on whole foods that don’t have nutrition labels because you don’t need to be “sold” on how healthy a food is. Balancing your diet to consist of mainly fresh foods with a treat here and there is the best thing that you can do for your body. You won’t just look amazing, you’ll feel the difference, too. People all over the world suffer from nutritional misinformation that causes health problems – many of which could be easily be targeted through diet.

Let’s work together to find a lifestyle centered around healthy, whole foods that will make you feel the best you’ve ever felt! For more information about what I do and how you can join in, CLICK HERE!
