Top 5 Foods That Will Make Your Life EASY

There’s no doubt that today’s busy lifestyle can leave you feeling drained, am I right? Between managing the kids, laundry, and work you probably don’t have much time or energy left at the end of the day. Instead of reaching for (more) coffee or a sugary energy bar, let’s think about some foods that are nutritious and simple that will make your life easier!

Now, this list is not full of “convenience” foods that come pre-packaged that you can grab on the go. When I say they make your life “easy,” I mean these foods meet multiple nutrition needs with just one food. Unhealthy food choices won’t nourish your body and can lead to low energy and weight gain. This list of the top 5 foods packs the biggest punch nutritionally and will have you functioning at your best. The best part? These are regular foods you can find anywhere (and might even already have in your kitchen).

Fruit

Not only does fruit give your sweet tooth some satisfaction, but most fruits are also low in calories, high in complex (aka good) carbohydrates, and have loads of vitamins and minerals. All fruits contain antioxidants that help fight inflammation and give you an energy boost to make it through your day (no extra caffeine needed!).

The extra fiber and microbial properties found in fruit will also keep your digestive system happy and running smoothly. Make sure you eat a variety of fruits to ensure you are getting a good range of antioxidants into your diet. However, it is important not to overdo your fruit consumption since they do contain sugar.

Nuts

Feeling sluggish? Don’t worry! Just add more nuts into your diet. The omega-3 fatty acids found in nuts give your energy levels a boost and increase your metabolism.

Not only that, the protein, fiber, and healthy fats found in nuts will work together to keep you feeling fuller for longer while simultaneously burning stubborn belly fat.

Nuts do so much for you and are so easy to incorporate into your diet as a snack. You can also use nuts to top off your salad or yogurt-yum!

Lean Meats

Incorporating more lean meats into your diet will make your life easier by helping you shed belly fat, reduce inflammation, boost metabolism, and even build muscle. Lean meats, like turkey or fish, have fewer calories and less saturated fats than regular cuts of meat but still the protein your body needs. If you can afford it, quality meats are going to make a HUGE difference in your diet.

Green Veggies

There is a reason that every nutrition or fitness influencer tells you to eat more vegetables-they make your life so easy! Vegetables, especially green vegetables, literally help every part of your body.

Vegetables like spinach, kale, and broccoli are chock full of vitamins, minerals, fiber, and antioxidants. Not only do these veggies help your digestive system run smoothly, but they also reduce inflammation and keep you satiated for longer. The iron and potassium found in green veggies also give your body a ton of natural energy.

Eggs

Not only are eggs delicious, but they are also super versatile! They are packed with protein and both water and fat-soluble vitamins so they help you build lean muscle and shred belly fat. The protein-packed goodies also keep you fuller longer and work to regulate your hormones.

There are almost endless options of ways you can incorporate eggs into your day. You can start your day with boiled, poached, or scrambled eggs. Making an omelet gives you the option of adding in even more nutrient-packed foods like spinach and ham (the options here are also endless!) Add a boiled egg to your fresh salad at lunch or mix it in with some chicken salad at dinner. Be creative!
