4 Of The Best Hacks To Balance Your Schedule As A Full-Time Entrepreneur

Take risks.

What if I fall?

Well I say, What if you fly?

Becoming an entrepreneur can be scary. But how would you feel if you don’t do it? I promise the reward of hard work will be well worth it.

So how do you balance it all? You may have a family, hobbies, another job, or other commitments. PLUS making time for yourself.

Let’s take a look at some entrepreneur to entrepreneur hacks that can make time in your day-to-day life a little bit easier to manage.

The Power Of A Schedule

Listen — I know you’re smart. You understand that making a schedule is important to running any business. But let me ask you a couple of questions:

Is your schedule realistic?

and

Do you stick to your schedule?

It’s easy to mark a bunch of things down for the week and think that you will get to it all, but that’s not practical. When making a schedule — really plan out your time. Take a look at the big ticket items and be truthful with yourself on how long they will take.

And when you have a well-planned schedule laid out, make sure you stick to it the best you can. I understand that things come up, but that’s part of the planning process too. Leave a little time for wildcard situations.

Maybe one of your kids throws up all over another kid at school and now you have to pick them up early. That’s okay! Expect the unexpected.

Delegate Tasks

How many people have a hard time asking people for help?

Did you raise your hand?

I thought so.

Sometimes we feel the need to take things on ourselves. Understand that life doesn't work that way. Humans have always worked together to get things done. No one will be mad at you for asking for help — so don’t be shy!

Here are some ways to spread out the workload:

✓ Utilize digital tools that help set things up ahead of time

✓ If you have a team — it’s okay to give up the reigns a little and trust them with tasks

✓ Outsource work when necessary

✓ Ask your partner, family, and friends for support where you need it

✓ Kids can help too! In fact, they generally like to be useful. Cook dinner together, do a family fun workout, or create a game to make a chore more exciting. This will help your home life.

You don’t have to do things alone. You’ve got good people in your life to help you out when you need it!

Take Time For Yourself

I can’t stress this enough. Be good to yourself! You’re working hard!

Go to the gym. Spend time with your family. Eat healthy foods. Walk the dog. Get outside for a bit. Get proper sleep.

These things are doable if you manage your time correctly. If you start sacrificing your health and wellness — you need to come up with a new game plan. Being physically and mentally clear will only benefit you, your loved ones, and your business.

Work-life balance is key.

Ride The Wave

Believe it or not — we can’t control everything.

Create a schedule. Delegate Tasks. Take time for yourself. But know that things will happen no matter how much planning you do.

Here are some things to keep in mind:

  • Set Goals — But Understand Not Everything Is Possible
  • There Will Be Ups And Downs
  • Celebrate Your Small Victories
  • Don’t Dwell On Losses
  • Let Certain Things Unfold As They Will
  • Plan Ahead — But Don’t Forget To Live In The Moment Too
