Neutrality
Jennifer opens up the conversation by speaking about neutrality and not needing to always feel great all of the time. It’s part of the human experience to have ups and downs. When you embrace neutrality, it takes pressure off of perfection and helps you take action even when you don’t always feel like your best self.
Leadership
Leadership starts from within and means leading yourself first. You have to wake up every day and give a self-assessment of how you are feeling. Having goals and wanting more is good, but you need to take the time to understand what’s going on mentally and emotionally. This will help get you in alignment.
Engineering
When you have big projects or goals, it’s important to reverse engineer a plan that will help you break down what you will be working on each day. Having time set aside will help you stick to the plan and keep you on track even when you don’t feel like doing something. It builds an internal trust in yourself that you will get things done.
Layers
If a time comes where you are in a longer term slump, it’s important to pull back the layers and get to the root of the underlying issue. There is a thought or multitude of thoughts that are the reason behind your state of current emotions. Once you find the root, it’s best to take things one step at a time in the process of getting back to a better emotional state. It’s all about healing from the inside.
Digging Deep
Sometimes you have to dig deep to understand what habits or thoughts you are holding on to that maybe aren’t the best, but you are doing them because it makes you feel better in the moment. Find those things and work on steps to replace those thoughts and habits with healthier options for healing.
