Hair Facts

You have about one hundred thousand hair follicles, there’s no way to increase what you have, and as you age some stop hair production. Your hair cycle is about two to six years and there’s no way to grow your hair faster. You lose fifty to one hundred strands of hair a day. You need a lot of energy to grow your hair so diet is important.

Nutrients

Omega-3 is the best nutrient to support your hair and have good, quality locks. Zinc, Biotin, Iron and Vitamin C are also good options if you are deficient in them in the first place. Switching to a quality diet will help you see some changes in your hair, but if you already have a good diet, you may not see any changes. Make sure to eat enough Protein as well.

Food

Grass fed meat, beef liver, fatty fish, eggs, chickpeas, walnuts, flaxseeds, chia seeds, bone broth, pumpkin seeds, oysters, and berries are all wonderful foods that support healthy hair. Each of these have different essential vitamins, nutrients, antioxidants, and protein that help hair stay strong and luscious. Balanced diets are important to looking and feeling good.

Supplements

Nutrafol supplements have many essential nutrients, but if you want to pay a little less, you can get supplement pills instead. Rogaine is another supplement that can help improve hair growth, but just be careful of the side effects. Topical and essential oils are also helpful in keeping your hair healthy and skelp clean, just make sure to get a good, quality kind.
