02:51 The Scale
04:19 Negativity
05:12 Water
05:50 Temptation
07:44 Get Moving
09:27 Set Goals and Connect
The Scale
Melissa recommends staying away from the scale after a period of unhealthy eating. The scale is only going to put you into a bad mindset which makes it hard to get motivated to change habits.
Negativity
Ditch negative thoughts, criticism, and guilt. It doesn’t do any good to hold on to those things. Trust yourself to make positive changes.
Water
Do your best to drink a lot of water. Water helps flush out any bad stuff that was put into the body and is important to overall health.
Temptation
The best thing you can do to help yourself is to remove any temptations. It’s hard to resist things if they are right in front of you.
Get Moving
Get moving, but don’t make yourself feel like you have to because of what you ate. Do something that will feel good that won’t bring on high pressure.
Set Goals and Connect
Focus on creating goals that work for you to help keep you on track. Make sure your goals are attainable and that any changes are gradual. Also connect with others that will help keep you motivated.
