Adding vs Eliminating
One thing to do on a fat loss journey is to not make it a punishment. Instead of thinking about all the foods you have to eliminate, think of the foods you get to add. You’ll be adding all kinds of delicious and nutritious foods to your diet, and you’ll feel really good inside and out when you do.
Eating Fast or Slow
If you are someone who eats quickly, it’s good to pause after you are done. Sometimes you may feel hungry still, but you need to give your body time to catch up with the food you just ate. If you are someone who eats slowly, don’t feel like you need to finish everything on your plate.
It’s really hard to only have a little bit of processed foods since they are made to be addictive. Slowly work your way out to unprocessed foods. Processed foods will keep you feeling hungry, whereas unprocessed will fill you up and nourish your body.
Mindset Over Habit
Sometimes habits, especially when it comes to food, can creep in. If you are trying to make changes to the way you are eating, make sure to talk to yourself. Ask if you really need something or if you are just playing into a habit.
Sleep, Stress, and Hydration
When you are lacking in proper sleep, your hunger will go up and your fat burning ability will go down, which makes sleep essential. Decrease stress as much as possible by working on mental techniques of calm. Make sure you are staying hydrated to help your body function properly.
