On this week’s episode, Melissa digs into a lighthearted, motivational episode that talks about what she calls “The 5 D’s”, or in other words, five words that can help you to make profound changes in your life. Desire, Decision, Discipline, Drive, and Dedication can help you on the road to becoming the best version of yourself, inside and out.
Key Points From This Episode:
02:00 Desire and Decision
05:46 Discipline and Drive
11:21 Dedication
Desire and Decision
You have to have a desire to want to make change, and sometimes this means getting out of your comfort zone. Try to do this from a place of inspiration versus desperation. If you have the desire, you’ll then have to make the decision to move forward. It’s a commitment to yourself to make changes and stick to the plan you made for yourself.
Discipline and Drive
You need discipline to make changes toward a healthier lifestyle. Remove yourself from situations that are going to test and tempt you. You don’t have to be perfect, but you do need to try to stick to your goals. Get motivated by what is driving you to make these changes. Your drive can come from anything, but always keep it in front of you as you go.
Dedication
Stick to what you start and be patient with your progress. Know that you will get to where you want to be if you commit to the process. Think of what difference you’re making on your health and wellbeing. Know that if you keep putting in the effort, your dedication will pay off.
